We are looking for someone with the skills, experience and drive to become our new Optical Lab Technician.
You will work closely with ophthalmologists, design engineers, scientists and manufacturing.
As our Optical Lab Technician, you will be able to enjoy the benefits of working in a lab preparing customer prescriptions to the highest standards. This will involve having dextrous skills and having the ability to interpret numbers from an optical prescription.
You will be responsible for all of the glazing, as well as being in charge of the stock levels, informing customers of their order(s) status and maintaining the equipment. You will be tracing, blocking and glazing to a high standard. Supporting finishing once all the tracing is complete. Handling Customers frames. Ensuring that all processes and procedures comply with operational and statutory requirements. Carry out any other duties necessary with a willingness to be flexible with working hours to respond to the needs of the company.
You should be able to work as part of a team, be organised and have experience of working in an Optical lab as a Lab Technician or Glazing Technician. You should have:
